Event Details

Join Dr. Theresa Walton-Fisette, a Kent State University professor specializing in sports sociology, to learn the history of Chief Wahoo and its present-day impact on Native Americans. She will present research that explains how Native American imagery in logos impacts Native people on a psychological and educational level, shifting the question from “Is it offensive?” to “Does it cause harm?” to help us examine this topic in an ethical way.
